Pink Jeep Tour in Sedona

Picture
If you're all hiked out or simply looking for a different way to experience Sedona's beautiful red rock landscape, climb aboard an iconic Pink Jeep Tour for the ride of your life with scenic views at every turn. Choose from several different tour options depending on how adventurous you're looking to be. Keep reading for all the details from our experience on the Broken Arrow tour and everything you need to know to book your own including current safety precautions and more.

Broken Arrow Tour

Buckle up because it’s about to be a bumpy ride! We took the signature Broken Arrow Tour which is Pink Jeep's most extreme adventure and features some of area’s most iconic rock formations and miles of scenery filled with off-road action. Pink Jeep is is the only guide company permitted to use this specific trail and it's the only tour that offers four-wheeling on top of the red rocks. The cost is $129/adult and can be booked online. Broken Arrow is their most popular tour so if you're set on going be sure to book in advance.

After checking in at the Pink Jeep office in uptown Sedona, you'll enjoy a short drive through town as your guide shares some of the area's unique history. Once you hit the trail, you'll want to hold on as you explore some of most remote areas around Sedona. You'll also get the opportunity to make two different stops at scenic lookout points, get out and walk around, take some photos, and enjoy the sweeping 360-degree lookouts. Seriously these photo ops can't be beat and our guide was more than willing to snap some pics for us. Our guide was also so knowledgeable about the local landscape and plant life and made sure to point out yucca, juniper, cacti, and more along the trails. Since we went on our tour the first day of our trip I loved being able to spot some of the different plants we learned about on our other hikes. Click here to read more about my picks for can't miss hikes in Sedona.

I will warn you that while the Broken Arrow is so much fun, it does get very bumpy. I wouldn't recommend it if you're pregnant, get motion sickness easily or have other medical issues. Don't worry though - Pink Jeep has several other tour options including a scenic tour which travels on only paved roads as well as van tours that go all the way to the Grand Canyon.

Safety Precautions

Traveling during COVID-19, it's important to find activities and areas that take safety precautions seriously. I was SO impressed with the steps Pink Jeep had in place to keep their guests safe. When you arrive at the main office you'll be screened at a tent outside and have your temperature checked before entering the office to check in and sign your waivers. Tour groups are kept small - we were paired with only one other couple - and there are clear plastic dividers between groups while sitting on the jeep. Masks are required to be worn while riding and it's an open air vehicle so plenty of ventilation. Overall we felt very safe the entire time!
