The Lantern Festival returns to the John Ball Zoo in Grand Rapids, Michigan for the third year in 2025 and this is one event you definitely don't want to miss out on. This is the only place in Michigan you can see these one of a kind handcrafted lanterns. The event sold out in 2024, so you'll want to plan ahead to ensure you can experience this breathtaking display. I've attend the last two years so I'm sharing all my tips and advice for this epic adventure in West Michigan.

I am a warm weather girl through and through but there is just something about the holiday season that I can't get enough of. The lights, the decorations, the carols, the traditions, and of course the cute cold weather accessories!
Each year, as the holiday season rolls around I become giddy as I wait for all the magic to unfold.
